Purpose

This section provides additional information regarding the editorial and publication practices of the Pakistan Journal of Gastroenterology (PJG) that may not be fully addressed in other Journal policies. Authors, reviewers, readers, and editors are expected to familiarize themselves with these policies to ensure a transparent, ethical, and efficient publication process.

24.4 Digital Object Identifier (DOI)

Each accepted article is assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) through Crossref, ensuring permanent identification and citation of the published work.

24.5 ORCID iD

The Journal strongly encourages all authors, particularly the Corresponding Author, to provide their Open Researcher and Contributor ID (ORCID iD) during manuscript submission to improve author identification and research visibility.

24.6 Archiving and Preservation

The Journal is committed to the long-term preservation of published content through recognized digital archiving and preservation systems where applicable.

Published articles remain permanently accessible through the Journal website and associated indexing or archiving services.

24.7 Corrections After Publication

When errors that do not invalidate the scientific findings are identified after publication, the Journal may publish:

Corrections will be permanently linked to the original article.
