21. Tables

Tables should be used to present data clearly and concisely without duplicating information already described in the text. Each table should be understandable on its own and should complement, rather than repeat, the findings presented in the manuscript.

Authors should ensure that tables are editable and created using the table function in Microsoft Word. Tables submitted as images or screenshots will not be accepted.

Table Requirements

  • Number tables consecutively using Arabic numerals (Table 1, Table 2, etc.).
  • Provide a brief, descriptive title above each table.
  • Cite each table in the text in numerical order.
  • Present data clearly using rows and columns.
  • Explain all abbreviations and symbols in table footnotes.
  • Use SI units where applicable.
  • Avoid vertical lines and excessive formatting.
  • Do not duplicate data already presented in figures or within the text.

Notes

  • Each table should be placed after the References section or uploaded as a separate editable file if requested.
  • Ensure that all numerical values are accurate and consistent throughout the manuscript.

Editorial Tip

Tables should simplify data presentation and improve readability without repeating information already described elsewhere in the manuscript.
