The Pakistan Journal of Gastroenterology is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, accessibility, and availability of all published scholarly content through recognized digital archiving and preservation systems.
LOCKSS Archiving System
The journal utilizes the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) system to create a distributed archiving network among participating libraries. LOCKSS enables libraries to preserve and restore journal content, ensuring permanent access to scholarly material in the event of technical failure, server interruption, or data loss.
Through this system, the journal permits authorized archival services and participating institutions to collect, preserve, and maintain archival copies of published content for preservation and restoration purposes.
PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN)
The journal also supports preservation through the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), which provides free digital preservation services for journals using the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform.
PKP PN ensures that journal content remains securely archived and accessible for long-term scholarly use.
